Campus Academia (Part 3)

Even though CA would have magnificent accommodations, its primary function is not to provide people with a beautiful living space. The main function, as stated in the name, is to go to an educational camp. Because of this there would be 12 different subjects: Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Earth Science, the Arts, History, Technology and Robotics, Computer Programming, Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Foreign Language.

This selection of 12 is wonderful for those who want to learn until their brains can hold no more. Each student has to chose a primary course, or something they will be focusing on for the duration of their stay (8 weeks). This class will take up two hours in the day, while other classes that are not primary classes will take up one hour in the day. In addition to choosing a primary, students will be required to take the supplementary courses that come along with the primary. The connections are as follows:

Math – Physics

Chemistry – Biology and Earth Science

Physics – Math and Chemistry

Biology – Chemistry

Earth Science – Chemistry and Biology

The Arts – Social Studies

History – Social Studies

Social Studies – English Language Arts, Foreign Language, History

English Language Arts – Social Studies, Foreign Language

Foreign Language – English Language Arts

Technology and Robotics – Math and Computer Programming

Computer Programming – Math and Technology and Robotics

From this, it can be seen that in a 5 period schedule (6 hours), a student can range from having 3 periods (3 hours) of free-to-chose courses to having only 1 period (1 hour) free. This is all because of the need of supplementary courses to the main course. This system may seem like it can be restricting to students, but it is meant to further advance them in their primary courses.
